Technology Usage

In this era, many people use technology as their daily activities. As we all know that there are many electronic devices that we can found at home, schools, offices and other places which is useful in doing  things we needs.  There advantages of using technology for our daily activities but also there are disadvantages of it. The advantages are we can use technology to make our life and works easier. By using technology, we can also save much time. While the disadvantages are when we use technology too much, it may effect on our health and we will also get high tax for it if we always use it for unimportant things.

As a person, I also use technology for my daily activities. The technology that I often use in one day is like alarm, phone, laptop, Ac, Television and also iPod. I like to use all of them for my personal needs and to make my works easier. I also use this technology to communicate with my friends, teachers and also relatives. I often use them to entertain my self when I gets bored or need to relax my self. Example, I uses my laptop for doing my assignments, chatting, play games and I also use television to watch movies and Korea dvd.

  I think that I satisfied enough of my technology usage time because I can manage my time well in using all of the electronic devices in one day. But sometimes I still like to use this technology to entertain my self more then doing school works that is actually more important.

 But I was also a technology efficient because I know that I have to use all of the technology only for important things or work or something that I need per day.  I am a person that also knows which technology that is important to be used and which one is not. But sometimes when I forget time, my parents usually will remind me to use each of the technology wisely and efficiently.

Using technology in my life makes me a better student because I can work all the assignment faster and also efficient in using my time.  While using technology, I can also learn new things that would be useful for my future. When I understand about using technology, I can help my friends and others to use it as well so they also can learn new things and can use their time efficiently.  Example from my laptop and hanphone, I can know the news and also information that is happening around the world.

I would also like to use technology for my high priority activity first because I think that it is more important to do it and it would be efficient. I thinks that when I can finished my high priority quickly, I can just relax and use others technology to entertain my self so actually it would be equal between working on assignment and also to play. I also thinks that it would be much easier and did not make me stress more in doing on my assignments.

Fun Culinary Trip

Last Friday, on the 8th of December, my school went on a trip to Gresik and Rungkut. We went there by bus. There were 3 buses, and I was in the first bus with my group and some other groups. We left at 7:30 A.M. and we arrived back at school at 4 P.M.

            In the bus, I sat with Stefani and Clarissa, who are my best friends. We had so much fun in the bus because we were telling jokes and stories while listening to music. Stefani and I really love Korea so we listened to K-pop music. We also ate snacks and played together.

Our first destination was Gresik, and we arrived there in the afternoon when the sun was shining so bright, making it very hot. We were dropped off at the traditional market, which smelled bad, and we had to cross the road and walk to a village in hot weather. When we arrived at the village, we had to wait for a while and got in our groups to get ready to learn and taste the kinds of foods that the villagers made.

Each of my group members had their own job. At that time, my job was to write down information that we can use as the answers for our assignment. I was not alone because I did this with Valerie. First, we visited a villager that made “otak-otak bandeng”, and we learned how to make it, along with watching the process. We also asked questions and took pictures. They sold the food for Rp. 30.000.

After we finished with that villager, we went to a shop that sold “pudak”. We did the same thing as before and tasted it. It was delicious and also cheap, since it only cost Rp. 2.500. I and many of my friends liked it and bought it. After that, we went directly to the “LL” store, which also sold “pudak” along with other foods like “jenang”, “wingko”, and “kripik kentang”. We entered the owner’s house and she explained to us about her company and her idea to sell all of these foods. The cost of the “jenang” is Rp. 6.000 per box, which consisted of 8 pieces. The cost of the “wingko” was Rp. 7.000, and I and my friends really liked it because it was delicious. I also liked the “kripik kentang” because it was delicious and cheap. It only cost Rp. 5.000. After we finished at the store, we all ate in the “balai kota” office. Then, when we were already full, we went back to our bus and got ready to go on another trip to Campina Industry, which was located in Rungkut.

While we were on the way there, I felt so sleepy and tired, and so I slept while listening to my favorite music, K-pop. Caroline, my friend that sat beside me, also slept. When we were almost at Campina, my best friend Stefani woke me up. The bus stopped, and we all went down and gathered in our groups. We were also divided into 2 big groups because the capacity of the Campina Industry was not big enough for all of us to enter together.

So my group went first to a theater that was big, cool, and nice. I sat at the front with Brahma and Valerie, since Brahma was my group leader, while Valerie and I had to write down all the information. In the theater, we were shown a video about Campina’s company profile and history. We found out that the owner of Campina is Mr. Dharmo Hadipranoto, and it was built in 1985. There are many types of ice creams and flavors that are provided by Campina to make their costumers enjoy and like their products.

When we finished, we went to the avatar room where each of us got free ice cream. Each of us took one ice cream and continued to look around Campina Industry. There was a lab where they observed the bacteria in ice cream and produced ice cream. We visited them, but we couldn’t enter the lab because we had to use sterile clothes. The last place we went to was the storage room where all the ice cream was kept. Before we entered it, we had to put on jackets because it was very cold inside. Then, we looked around and saw many ice creams. The storage was very big, but really cold.  We finished everything and waited for the other group while eating ice cream. After they finished, we went back to our school.

I think it was a really fun and interesting trip where I could study a lot of new things and also do fun things that I never experienced before. I learned how to make new foods, how to make my own company famous, and how to make many people enjoy my product.
